I am no electrician but here is an add-on SecureView component that I think would sell very well:
The component would attach between the Decoder and the VCR.
Have a long enough cable so the component can be set on top of the VCR. Within the component, it is able to detect movement gathered from the SecureView. Don't think this should be hard since motion detector components are cheap. Once movement is detected, the component sends a Record/Play to the VCR. When no movement is detected for a set period of time, the component sends a stop/pause signal to the VCR.
I am not sure if the record/Play signal is standard but these universal remote controls seem to handle it ok. If the Record/Play is an issue, then maybe include a VCR. I’ve seen VCRs if the paper of 59 bucks.
