Here only about half a million women use implants for birth control - so that may give a hint that implants won't see more than half a million users too. Then again don't underestimate the popularity of tanning here. Millions of people dedicate many hours and much money to tanning even understanding the risks. This product seems to actually reduce risks so might be more popular.
Most of the black market users here inject the drug since implants are not available yet. That seems to be effective, but I think even fewer would go for the frequent injections and side effects seem higher when injected.
I have read blogs and reviews from people on the trials for EPP and contrary to some recent reports most seem to think this drug is life changing. But I think that if the mainstream media gets wind of the pricing and if it proves to really be life-changing, there will be a big push to force the price down.
