They have already spent years testing their window coatings.

Did you know that their energy-generating glass bends and can be used on curved surfaces??

For your education, may I suggest you view the FOUR videos here:

Our engineers have designed and tested SolarWindow™ to generate electricity from artificial light such as the fluorescent systems found inside offices, schools, and commercial buildings. Today’s solar systems do not perform well indoors or under artificial light.

Dr. Hammond is Principal Scientist at SolarWindow Technologies, Inc., leading the development of SolarWindow™ systems.

Dr. Hammond brings extensive experience with all areas of Organic Photovoltaics (OPV), including: the design and synthesis of small molecule and polymeric donor materials, the development of new solution-processed contact materials, the fabrication of laboratory-scale OPV devices, large-area device fabrication using slot-die coating, and the development of solution-processed flexible and transparent moisture barriers.

Dr. Hammond also has a strong background in nanostructured organic materials, with an emphasis on optoelectronic materials. His experience spans materials design, synthesis, nanoscale characterization, processing, and optoelectronic device fabrication.

He has over 30 publications and presentations, a book chapter, and one U.S. patent application.

Dr. Hammond earned his B.S. in Chemistry with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001, and his Ph.D. in Organic/Materials Chemistry and Nanotechnology from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2007.

His awards include a Hypercube Scholar Award, a Mindlin Brothers Fellowship for Creativity in Science, a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Honorable Mention, and a Joint Institute in Nanotechnology Fellowship.

He is currently a member of the American Chemical Society and the Materials Research Society, and a Sigma-Aldrich Global Advisor.

SolarWindow Completes Financing to Advance Manufacturing, Marketing, and Product Fabrication

SolarWindow Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: WNDW) is pleased to announce that the company has completed a private placement financing for approximately $2.6 million from four investors, three of whom have been long-term shareholders and supporters of SolarWindow.
The company intends to use the proceeds from the Financing for general working capital purposes, including the further advancement of its previously announced manufacturing, marketing and product fabrication initiatives for its electricity-generating glass products for commercial buildings.

“With this round of financing in hand and a Process Integration and Production Agreement with Triview Glass Industries, an award-winning custom glass fabricator, we’re moving forward with turning our first-ever inventions into first-ever electricity-generating windows,” states John Conklin, President and CEO of SolarWindow Technologies.

Glass moves to tempering machine after horizontal wash at Triview Glass.

SolarWindow scientists and engineers applied layers of the company’s liquid coatings on to Corning® Willow® Glass and laminated them under conditions that simulate the high pressure and temperatures of the manufacturing processes used by commercial glass and window producers. The result is a bendable glass ‘veneer’, as thin as a business card, which generates electricity;
SolarWindow™ electricity-generating coatings withstand real-world environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures variations; and
Engineers confirmed the ability of SolarWindow electricity-generating coatings to withstand the high-stress rigors of the ‘autoclave’ manufacturing processes used by commercial glass and window producers. Autoclave-manufacturing is a common method of production for flat, curved, tempered and solar glass fabrication.
