That said, there's an obvious reason why Argonaut bugged out. They had another project already in the works...see their recent news. It grades out at 1.18 gpt, whereas the Elena would have graded out somewhere way below .392 over the entire bulk minable ore body.

Yes, the Elena would probably not have proven to be worth mining had it been completely explored. Argo wasn't interested in just the vein structures, see. And those are the spots Mexus has started with...Of course, we have no idea what the grades of the material being put on the pads really is, as the numbers recently quoted for the pond solution offered no way to relate them to the actual bulk material on the pad.

Which, by the way, has been stated to be about 40 k tons..... Granted, they haven't been going full bore due to all the problems of figuring out how to actual extract/produce the gold, but, will MarMar actually be capable of reaching and sustaining 10K tons per day? That would be one heck of a ramp-up.
