Easy to make money setting up booths... I am from South California.... Comic Con when it started in the 70's was a small hole in the wall place for comic geeks to go.... Marijuana is much more popular than comics and since THCT partnered 50/50 with iHub... Magic is going to happen, right away... Who knows but be assured they aren't going to miss it....

Oh and the promoter setting up booths (answering your question, the real life example is for the comic Con which started out ever so humble)

Revenue to Comic-Con totaled $17.3 million in the 12 months ending Aug. 31, 2014, the most recent year for which information is available. With $13.9 million in expenses, that put the group $3.4 million in the black, for a new total in unrestricted cash of $20 million.

Not billions, but not bad....

And the dehydronator and spa.... Still there, still moving forward, they just partnered with an international business wishing to increase their international footprint in the US... I am sure that keeps one busy and once the i's are dotted and the t's crossed.... Onto the next one....
