Thanks for that input about the SEP question. I have tried unsuccessfully. I think it was longterm who contacted the company & IR guy Inya, but I dont think they ever replied. Your guess about the lack of money sounds right. Someone else tried to say there is no relevance between SEP & vplm patents. On the surface I disagree. It seems to me that patents touted as baseline & foundational to very operation of the current and future of all worldwide digital communications, voip; and voip being such huge thing itself and which is built upon many protocols.....woukd be the penultimate candidate, if not absolutely required, to obtain SEP designation. I'm not claiming that as fact, it just seems common sense. Voip is so huge and so many depend on it for so much and so many billions of dollars are involved, how could there not be certain controls or official validations/designations/protocols, that vplm patents must adhere to? Put another way, if voip itself must adhere to the established protocols of operation, which I know it does, then how could patents which claim to be the necessary controllers of voip itself, not also be subject to even higher standards? My understanding of essential patents or standard essential patents is they are necessary to ensure public reliability & safety. Maybe I've got that all wrong. I'll try to study it more but the language is tough. If I have that right, then it seems intuitive that SEP would be either a requirement or a desire to have for vplm. When answers or alleged explanations incl name calling, condescension or ridicule, I pay little to no attention to that, as I figure when there's a need to do that, it belies other "issues in judgement". I noticed that Malak called the patents "Essential patents". That doesn't come off to me as some randomly chosen phrase.. Ironically, SEP's are referred to as "Essential Patents" or "Standard Essential Patents". That seems an odd choice of words if there is actually no connection or need for SEP designation. I would also expect him or Inya to provide an answer when asked thru proper channels which I think longterm did. Finally, I am exerting this much energy on this question because as long term put it when it was 1st brought up, it could be a game changer. If it does not apply here, then that's what should be explored.
