If you compare this letter with the one we were sent on 11/24/17 It seems clear to me that the 11/24 letter is a FORM letter used by the Audit Firm given to customers to fill in information. I think Q provided a few examples earlier. The cross-out in the middle of the page I bet says , "INTERNAL USE ONLY" or something similar. I think mgmt was trying to pull a fast one by issuing only the left-hand corner of the 11/24/17 Engagement Letter and pretending that was in fact the actual letter. Why, my guess is probably mgmt had not completed the form engagement letter and only received the final one from the audit firm on 11/30/17. Why else cross the area in the middle out along with the date- there was no date... However, I'd still like to see the the page where the partner in charge of the ONCI engagement signs this letter for the audit firm.
