In lieu of complicated taxes/royalties_maybe_just_giving_10-15%_Tonnes to_Chile
is the most straight forward and least prone to fudging (ala SQM) answer to fairness.

For example, a humble very-handsome altruistic lithium miner (eg us) producing 59,400MT of LCE would give 10% 5,940MT of his "cleaned up" LCE to Chile and then export the remaining 53,460MT to China (or to Germany/Japan or whatever it is needed most) without going through the convoluted gyrations of trying to figure our RAW tonnages for national taxations/royalties. Chile could simply weigh each jointly-confirmed truckload of LCE and then put this high-purity 5,940mTpa of LCE straight into the new Chilean battery-making factory and Voila! Everyone is happy. No fuss, no muss.

So who is this December 20th Jurist Cristian Quinzio? And how much power in the new government does he actually wield in real time?
