Can the plus1 wallet be set to GPU from the wallet program?

Are there modifications to the generate command?

I haven't found anything GPU related on the wallet program. Have read a lot of blogs and how-to's and they use the wallet to generate the address for an external GPU related mining program. So I think the answer is a no on that one.

I have also been trying to get a few GPU based miners to work with HappyPool without success. The HappyPool uses a hash algorithm for PlusOneCoin called hmq1725. None of the GPU miners I see that are commonly used for pooled mining support this new method. So until then probably not going to be able to mine with GPU's.

Anything that might use GPU's doesn't work on many machines and is just being developed and could fry the laptop. I found one program not for mining but finding bitcoin addresses with words in them, and let it calculate for 10min using the GPU, my laptop went to standby mode from overheating. I had to let it cool down the display had lines on it had me worried for a bit like I did something but it recovered. It's no joke.

So the equipment isn't meant to use the GPUs so heavily. Blogs have tons of messages saying don't do GPU mining you're going to cook your computer and won't make enough coins to buy another one.

GPU mining is more of a hobby thing really. In our case here, the blockchain is still relatively new so mining with a CPU processor can still be done. None of the GPU programs I found support hmq1725 which is what PlusOneCoin uses. If they did someday, I wouldn't do it on good equipment. Maybe on something I don't care if it roasts, or have made a custom build with a bunch of fans and cooling like overclocking hobbyists do.
