Let me clarify as I was expressing it colloquially about the IPO (as I'm sure Auryn was in their announcement) being a traditional IPO which is what superdow was referring to based on his comments.

All signs are pointing to Auryn undergoing a reverse merger IPO, not a traditional IPO, in order to access the capital markets. And as such, they won't be distributing shares to an investment bank to underwrite the IPO. They will merely reverse merge into an existing shell or shell-like company - like AMNP, CDCH or MDMN.
