There is a big and distinct difference between anecdotal evidence and scientific evidence, or proof based on findings from systematic observation, measurement, and experimentation. While scientific evidence can be independently verified using the scientific method, anecdotal evidence cannot. Anecdotal evidence is often offered when there is an absence of scientific evidence or in an effort to refute scientific evidence.

Bottom line Anecdotes to not equal SCIENCE. Science is POC and evidence based to bring objectivity and powered by statistical significance. Anecdotal is not science and only becomes science when that individual becomes part of a statically powered trial, so as to eliminate the risk of chance by an established P value. Case studies and anecdotal evidence promotes a hypothesis at best, but never validated POC. So I choose to only be enlightened by folks like Charlie. Show me the N=300..then we are talking about powered validity. Besides, your anecdotes will not fly with BP or the FDA.
