Hi SM$. I'm sorry to see the board quiet down,as of late. My excuse for not contributing is tech related. I'm an old hippie that doesn't know whether to hang on to the old, or grasp on to the new? (sounds like an old song, eh?). I got a cell phone when they first came out, and gave it to my son. He appreciated it more than me. lol My daughter was supposed to charge up the battery for the Nintendo DS, that I use for my camera. It hasn't made it's way back yet.
In my younger days, I overheard a conversation that struck home and made perfect sense. "If you want to enjoy food the way YOU like it? You're better off learning how to cook it."
I really like the concept of the board and promise to post pictures and share ideas when I can. Cooking is a passion, some eat to live (like my thin wife), others live to eat (like my family).
If I had a camera? I'd post pic's of tonight's dinner. I'm tenderizing a chicken breast into a beat up patty. Then breading and pan frying it. Serving it with mashed potatoes and gravy made from the crispins left over in the skillet. Along with a salad.
FWIW? The post of your's that I'm replying to, inspired me to fix my own turkey dinner after Thanksgiving. I worked a 12 hour day before Thanksgiving and my wife and her mother made the meal. Yuk! I saw your post and it looked so good, I made my own a few days later. I smoked a turkey and made the trimmings. Thanks for the help, it was better than I hoped for.
