Ive been surmising this for quite some time now. Tom was a major player in connecting the government with Kaspersky in the first place (well before the "Russia Meddling" crisis)....

Who better to take their place than the man who was in charge of billions of DHS dollars under two white house administrations?

I believe that the years R&D have come to fruition.
