Religious people sound so primitive to me..
Its a real challenge trying to incite rational argument with religious zealots, each time I have attempted to converse using rational arguments I get rebuffed with phrases such as 'I will pray for you', 'God Bless you', 'I know Christ in my heart', and of course 'Amen..' it goes on and on.. Theists aren't even aware they're doing it, not aware they no longer show the capacity to reason, are they ignorant or just lazy? Maybe you fear the reality of aloneness and the discomfort of uncertainty..
Let me tell you a little story - I lost a love once and was so miserable that I took a trip to a wonderful place. When I got there I couldn't be anything but miserable, so I had a good cry and sang a song to myself, it was The Rose.. By the time I finished, it was as if a weight was lifted because suddenly I realized I hadn't lost my love, because the love I felt was still inside me. I could still give it away and love again..
The joy, comfort and love you feel are your own..
