Re CVD risk in post-menopausal women, my CVD risk is "optimally suppressed" with 4 capsules/day, off-label, of Amarin's Vascepa, a capsule containing 96% EPA(icosapent ethyl), an omega-3 fatty acid. I co-pay $9/month for a 30-day supply of 120 capsules. I am 80 years old with a family history of CVDs[heart attack deaths at an early age of father and his 3 sisters] and T1-Diabetes which I have had since age 19.
