Update: While we started out with strong volume in the morning it has become rather meek since then, thereby confirming, for me at least, that this is a window dressing move with options expiry as perhaps an added factor.
That being said, it is also my opinion that the float is really small since the vast majority of the stock is held by strong institutional hands. This allows the institutions to easily use the float for their own purposes like hedging, short covering and window dressing. Small floats are easily manipulated by the big boys and girls.
