Sogo, a question for you, if you well. I paid off my house mortgage. I asked for my title and the bank said they would mail me a letter confirming my loan was paid but no title is sent. Retracing my experience from buying the house and working for CIT years ago...... their were titles and title companies that had title abstracts that showed history of title owners and liens against property. Bring me up to date on titles and abstracts. Do they not use titles ? How are title records maintain and by who ? Thanks in advance.
