OPKO Health: A House Of Cards Tumbling In The Dark

This is lengthy, IMHO well-crafted tabloid trash but it would take lengthy, detailed research to tackle many of the claims.

The following is an obvious and rather comical example of the mark of tabloid trash:

>The company is employing “co-pay assist” programs in the roll-out of Rayaldee in an apparent attempt to compete with low-cost generic & over-the-counter alternatives.<

Facts are:

1. Various subsidies are commonly offered to quicken ramp-up of sales of newly approved drugs.

2. There is no other approved drug than Rayaldee treating very serious conditions on the verge of leading to kidney dialysis.

3. "attempt to compete with how-cost generic & over-the-counter alternatives" is pure medical quackery. There are no alternatives. Reportedly doctors commonly advise patients to take extra Vitamin D pills which is proven worthless.

With such garbage proferred as sage advice, I would not take any medical advice from such a source myself.

Financial advice is altogether a different matter as quackery can be quite remunerative.
