This morning after i had threw a little water in my face and made me a cup of coffee and sat down and shook a few cobwebs out my head...i noticed it was spitting snow a little and that my car and the porch was covered just enough to be white so i stepped outside on the back porch and was looking around at Gods creation here in my little part of the universe. Now...i lived in northeast Pennsylvania...Susquehanna county...not far from the NY line for 24 years and just moved back home to Greeneville Tennessee like 6 years ago...after being gone for 32 years. So...i know what snow is..i know what lots of snow looks like for long periods of time...so...in my book anything under six inches is pretty much a dusting.-wink-.. With that said...standing outside in my tee shirt and shorts and barefoot..its ok..i ride a Harley all winter...i was thinking on something that use to enter my mind up in PA concerning snow. We start out our life as innocent children...like in the beauty of Gods creation in the Spring and Summer and even into the Fall. However in the Fall even in the beauty of the changing vegetation...those leaves are actually dying and falling to the ground...just as we do as we get older and sin comes creeping into our lives more and more and more. We become tarnished thru and by that sin and we turn from the beautiful person...as a child...that God created. And then into the Winter time. As we look around...the grass is brown...everything has become dormant...the leaves have fallen...and the earth..takes on a look...of death if you will...compared to the other seasons...in much the same way that sin turns us as we walk further and further from God. But then one day in the coldness of winter...with the earth looking dead and decayed...here comes the snow...and it covers all of creation and actually makes everything look beautiful...am i right? Well the same holds true for those of us that accept Jesus into our hearts...Jesus comes in and just as the old song goes...?...."Cause Jesus paid it all, All to him I owe, My sin had left this crimson stain, he washed it white as snow."?.......For me...i still have some tarnish in my life...a few rough edges..but guess what..that day i cried out to Jesus...He washed my sin white as snow and He did that by laying down His life for me on Calvary..yep...He died for little ole me that i might live for forever! Have you been Washed White as Snow?
