Ecomike Tip of the iceberg on Dana

I have known Dana since 2000. Great guy, incredible knowledge and all around good person. He doesn't brag a lot so I am going to do it for him. Here are some of the things that I have learned about Dana over the last seventeen years. These are all my opinion and may not be 100% accurate but he can correct anything that is not right.

I am not sure what he sold newsmax for in 2000 but it sold again in 2008 for 80 million. Dana and the co-founder got a check for 250k each even though there was nothing in the contract to do so. (A very nice thank you). I believe it is worth around 1 Billion today.

About 5 years before Ebay started he founded a company called onlinegaragesale or something close to that. He needed to raise a million but could only get 500k so he sold technology that he invented called scanfix (it gets your pictures from your camera to a PC) It is still being used today or at least up until recently. Dana tells me he is still acquainted with the guy that funded the 500k and when they see each other they talk about what might have been if he had given him the million he needed. Dana tells me the guy kept repeating that he did not think people would buy stuff through a modem.

Dana still retains friends in the money raising business, one of which raised money for the Bill Clinton campaigns. He also knows a lot of people in the news business. Famous NBC ABC and CBS anchors that he dealt with during his newsmax years. I think these contacts will be very helpful to him in his job at BWMG. Even though the money he raised for the company in the last two months came from people close to him not any big fundraisers.

One of the people that invested in BWMG is a hedge fund manager. At one time this guy was going to move from Detroit to Reno to be closer to Dana after he became aware of his trading track record. I do not know if this has happened yet as this is a fairly new thing. He even named one of his funds after a system that Dana made for finding high value stocks. (It's the system he used to find BWMG) I think this contact will also be very helpful in his job.


Dana is an inventor and has many inventions that are in use today and some that I hope will be in use soon. One is mentioned in the PR about him going on the board. This invention could be a real catalyst for BWMG. There are others in the works also. One has to do with golf and a couple have to do with the mining industry. There are many other things that there is not enough time for.


I met Dana when he got involved with a company I was invested in back in 2000. He has told me about company's since that time that have done 10, 20 even 50 times there value from the time he mentioned them to me. This post is getting long so I will tell you about the property I bought because of his investment advice one of the next times I post.


I am very happy to call Dana a friend and very glad he is on the board as I know he can do for this company what he has done for so many others....Make them successful
