Mactung is long gone and NATUF has no interest in it. It is now owned by the NWT Government. And Cantung is worthless - closed and being reclaimed by the Federal Government.
The CBC knows the truth. From a CBC story just 7 days ago:
"The territorial government bought the Mactung exploration project in 2015 for $2.5 million dollars as a stipulation to hand over the now-abandoned Cantung tungsten mine to the federal government."
Yup, Cantung is abandoned and controlled by the Feds. Not NATUF. And Mactung was turned over to the NWT Government for the forgiveness of debt. They would love to sell it, but no one is interested:
"Two years after acquiring Mactung, the N.W.T. government still owns it because nobody has come forward with a good offer for the property."
NATUF has nothing but debt.
