I am a novice investor. I do use a few basic tools including Bollinger Bands, Elliot waves and the moving averages to help me. They are relatively easy to learn. There are many other sophisticated tools but I don’t use them. I think that some of them get a bit too cryptic for my taste (sort of voodoo science), so I avoid them.
The tools help me, but I trust more my research, my gut feeling, a contrarian approach at times and the company’s fundamentals, such as those in the valuable information that the Dr. just shared in this forum.
