Sly I will give you a hand. Operating income in comparison too a deficit that uses debt to balance out what is required to keep things going. On the other hand operating income is produced from only a product and service provided by corporate internal resources.

There is no required outsourse of debt needed from equity holders or institutional debt providers.

A good example is to compare FCX financials with John Deer.
