Do you seriously believe no stocks ever move unless somebody, or some "group", tries to run a pump? In the real world, they move up on news. Real news. On improving financials over the medium to long term. That old fashioned stuff.
And unless bad news follows, they tend to continue to move upwards, though not at a rate of 300% a day, of course. Stocks pushed on frontloading, pumping, and consequent high volume tend to crash and burn.
