Culinary mystery solved.

Local popular eatery named Teriyaki brothers serves a simple menu of teriyaki plates, either chicken or beef, on a bed of light cabbage
salad with a couple scoops of white rice.

The light cabbage salad is a perfect bed for the teriyaki and a great taste combo.

The old guy who started it would never give me the recipe. I asked several times.
I woke up one night and vuala! it came to me

I figured it out.
1lbs bag of cole slaw
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons white sugar
mix and let stand 1 hour.
