Let me share some insight.

Having worked with MSFT on 2 difft technologies, I can tell you a few things as facts.

1. If they are truly interested in your technology, they make you and your team sign a ton of nondisclosure agreements. They mean business. In both of ours, there were clauses that stated we were not allowed to talk publicly about the technology or our involvement with Microsoft. I'm pretty sure tweets count as public.

If you failed to abide by EITHER clause, they would be allowed to end the discussions immediately. They also would then have the ability to sue for damages.

2. They are known as the "Evil Empire" for a reason. If you are underfunded and short staffed, you will regret ever getting involved with them. They will make you do EVERYTHING on your dime, cancel meetings at a moments notice, and keep you on hold waiting for their legal department. They dont care if this deal means everything to you, you jump when they say jump and NEVER ask questions.

SR has no idea what he got himself into. The time to work with MS is AFTER your biz is established and funded..you then have a little leverage. Very similar to getting a deal with WalMart..

My opinion is that if OMVS really has or had a deal with MS, they probably just lost it with that tweet.

Based on #1 above, I question why would SR would jeopardize the relationship and tweet that? That makes me question the relationship.
