Has anyone looked at how many cryptocurrencies are out there? Plenty my friends. Everyone and their brother are creating new crypto's. that's what is tied to bitcoin. Blockchain is a whole other business. Blockchain is how transactions are done and in a secure way.
From what I see, the best crypto plays are the companies that manage the exchanges to trade bitcoins etc. there are only three or four solid crypto currencies that are more popular.
For instance, if you have bitcoins and a establishment doesn't accept them, you will have to go to an exchange to convert bitcoins into another currency. It's all still in an infancy stage. Hell, I heard today the US Feral reserve is thinking about doing their own cryptocurrency. Maybe that's why bitcoin dropped a little today.
