So the answer is no, they do not have them.

in the future to convert them into XTROPTIONS, if possible,

I thought they were suppose to get 1 Xtrop for every Troption they had, not exchange them.

Since it appears the XTrops are worth several dollars and the fact they don't have them, tells me the IF POSSIBLE is the key statement here.
