QVC is in business to make money, they probably charge company’s a commission or royalty or a flat rate just to appear on the show, they probably require the items sold to be a significant discount so they can maintain their respiration of being the “place to go for great deals.” Sure a company may make money off selling their item on QVC but like already mentioned, QVCs biggest payoff is exposure to the masses on mainstream media.
