I think her point is almost an "educate the customer" and they'll ask for it or want/demand it. She felt that makes more sense than the car salesman pushing it as another $250 option on a car that has already given the customer some sticker shock. I think the point is that yes, Steve can.sell it to the car dealerships but without end user purchases the demand for it may dry up.
That's where a Marketing program could help "all of the adults in the room" see the need for this product. Saves lives. Government involved to make it a legal requirement. Car insurers to offer discounts. Fleet managers to reduce liabilities. Car rentals to manage their inventory/investment. And, make it a competitive advantage for first "car guys" to have it.
We need to focus on today AND tomorrow if we want to get huge! Go ONCI
