Options are not my mkt area. The only time when my clients did well, they could have done as well with stock positions. Although the risk/reward was far better with the covered calls, 10% call premium for an undervalued and oversold stock while mkt was screaming higher. But after 9months the opportunities disappeared.
I hesitate to pay the premium, which guarantees a loss unless mkt goes your way considerably; I prefer less leverage and a breakeven that is very near.
But some do very well at it, and you are one who talks greek, but I sometimes have a hard time with english.
