I think the fact being missed is that even big companies, that say they are GAAP compliant, really aren't or are stretching the rules so wildly in their favour and having "special accounting" sections and making it not GAAP. That was, I think, part of the point with the articles about big companies filings and claims. May be wrong, but that what I go out of it. Either go with it or don't, like anything else. $EFLN
