Intel has followed a business plan that earns profits year after year. On the other hand, AMD managed to concoct a business plan that loses money year after year.

AMD has benn so successful with its "lose lots of money" plan that it will in Q4 achieve the very difficult distinction of having negative earnings since its inception.
