I'm all for hypothetical exercises as long as they are realistically possible. Pitching a celeb when they are out with their family is what NOT to do (no matter how "simplistic" it's presented). It's the opposite of what to do, especially if you don't know them, as in this example.
Parsi comes off too rough around the edges and as a Hollywood wannabe. I know I wouldn't let him pitch any of my projects or be on my team when I was doing the Hollywood thing. I avoided guys like him like the plague. Trust me, you meet guys like that everyday in La La Land. People working at 7-11 are wannabe directors or producers.
We need to forget about a celeb bailing out $GIGL. That's such a long shot that it's just not probable. Possible? Yes, but not probable. Plus, Parsi would have played that card already, especially with his Hollywood fascination.
Jillian isn't doing it and she's already connected to the company so why would an outsider do it?
He needs to use some of his shares to partner with someone who already has restaurant/F & B experience and money behind them. This may not be probable as well.
Stock manipulation according to the SEC. "Making false or misleading statements about a company."
