$$TXTM ~ Your assessment concerning the chief pharmacist's background appears to be on point.

I've expended some time perusing the MCC's Final Cannabis Guidelines together with the Application Forms, after seeing Friday's $TXTM tweet:

I was determined to connect the dots to why the company would be engaging a chief pharmacist. I'll share a few thoughts here, yet for the sake of brevity, I'll be separating my thoughts into multiple posts.

On the MCC's License Application to Cultivate, Manufacture or Import Cannabis for Medicinal Purposes publication, on page 13, it is stated that each nominated pharmacist shall specify their 'relevant qualifications' along with their 'relevant experience'. Therefore the nominated pharmacists' background and years of experience appear to be huge variables for consideration. See below:

Further on, the nominated pharmacist is requested to confirm and certify all particulars of their application, and upon nomination, the 'Responsible Pharmacist' will 'control the manufacture or import of medicinal Cannabis in terms of the provisions of Regulation 23 of the Act'.

IMO, since the nominated pharmacist will be the responsible party, the importance of selecting a qualified chief pharmacist with many years of experience cannot be over-stated.
