Simply put, the individual(s) is/are vested and therefore entitled to sell their shares.

Per a recent SEC filing, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos sold 1 million shares in his company starting on Nov. 1 at an average price of just under $1,100 each.

It's just "Capitalism 101" doing its thing.
