It does not matter if your average is higher. When they transferred the stock under the new ticker, it will show as the buy at the rate that was listed at the time of the change. It does not change the value of your purchase. The amount you bought still remains the same, it just shows that the stock was transferred at a rate of XXX. Any loss you see is based off of the total value at the time of change. If you were at $0.03, you are still netting a profit at $0.04, even though your trader will show you at a loss from the rate when the new ticker came into effect.

It's not too hard to figure out.
