I think it's probably time for me to decide - especially with the warning from Lawrenzo - if I should ignore all the bashers, since I have taken the lead in engaging them.

The upside to engagement is that newcomers to the board see that the bashers do not have free rein, and that they are challenged every step of the way. Otherwise the board often looks like it is being run by bashers. And that's not good.

But, the downside is board clutter - and - indeed a sniping atmosphere, which is partly their goal to begin with - and I confess I play into it. It's been a strategic decision on my part.

If I put them all on ignore, unless someone steps in, this board will look crappy to newbies. But maybe the longs can finally talk again if most longs (including me) put most bashers on ignore most of the time - and just not worry about it.

What's the consensus?
