No, it didn't.

"Glassware on Dell" was pitched as the claim that "Glassware was embedded on all Dell server, laptops and Chromebook". It never was. Never will be.

Did Sphere sell two servers to a small school board on a pair of Dell servers. Yes. That is a far cry from claiming that Dell was bundling or "embedding" Glassware in all of its products as a certain pump newsletter and some social media sites claimed. Please understand the difference. And understand that any third party vendor can buy a Dell, HO, IBM, VMware server and install their software on it and resell it. ANYONE

Note: it was also claimed that the school, New Caney had 10,000 users up on Glassware....before it was installed. It was then proclaimed as a great success by Peter Bookman with the tweet "two kiddoes (SP) up and running" Yes TWO!!! Thats a far cry from 10,000.

I suggest that if you want to know how well it worked at New Casey, contact Dustin Hardin, the school IT director and ask him. He is no longer here but can be found via LinkedIn.

Note2: it was also claimed in a third party article written by the soon to be named Sphere VP Simon Bramfitt that another school, CCPS, has 30,000 Chromebook connected via Glassware.

To no one's surprise, that was also false.
