The actresses who chose to sleep with Weinstein.....is the contention they couldn't fight this man off, or allowed him to do what he did because in the end, it got them into movies?
Sure, he could have affected their careers. Sure, in the perfect world this shouldn't be a necessary consideration to be successful in your craft. Has it been going on in Hollywood for decades? Sure. Could the women have refused then taken a different route? Sure as well.
Now, should every woman who hadn't spoken out about it for decades be every bit as guilty as Joe Paterno? If not, why not?
Louie CK......asked women if he could masturbate in front of them....Odd and extremely uncomfortable? Absolutely. Could these women have said "no you can't"? Also absolutely as several women have come forth and claimed they told him no and he said "ok". Did they need to allow this to further their careers? Probably not.
I do not put this in the same category as the others. He wasn't forcing the women to participate. No different than a man in a car exposing himself to women. Creepy yes. Career ruining?....BTw, didn't PeeWee Herman do pretty much the same?
Kevin Spacey....forcing himself on a minor....OK, this is absolutely wrong! However, after all these years, where are the parents of these children? And not just with Spacey, but with whatever sick men and women were molesting children? I refuse to accept that these parents didn't have an inkling. Throw their kids out there at any cost? Send your kid to stay at Michael Jackson's for the weekend? Seriously?
