"Never heard the full story of alleged plot to defraud investors allegedly hatched over 13 years ago."

Neither have I. And I can't prove any fraud occurred here. Nor can anyone point to any application of the science in humans that has been shown to be successful.

Those are the most basic elements of risk in the investor's equation. As you know most investors can't evaluate the science at all and none completely...you have a better understanding than many, obviously.
The point? Once upon a time there was a company that raised millions of dollars based on the idea that you could sell a boatload of sponges if you put the soap in them FIRST. It was an idea that COULD be executed but the real idea was the selling of shares and people bought them hand over fist. It was as far from a sophisticated concept as one could get.
Here we have, as in all drug development scenarios, an idea that few can grasp or it would have been grasped by other scientists previously. It hasn't been tested in human being #1. And ever since it germinated through some VERY BIG ideas (curing the flu and maybe HIV and scary ebola)….and some smaller ones that I can't pronounce…raising funds as it went, it always came to a stop for some reason. Some good reasons and some unfathomable reasons, at least to the novice investor who can only appreciate putting soap in sponges first.

The point is that a couple of scientists, or a scientist and a couple of shady business operators, could have an idea to create a cure for something knowing full well that the cure couldn't be shown...established beyond any reasonable doubt...to be fatally flawed until it reached the clinical trial stage. Most investors wouldn't be able to discern any flaws in real time.

I don't know whether anything was hatched over 13 years ago. I know that a number of attempts to apply the science have been undertaken by this company and none have been allowed to be tested in a way that would show that they could be shown to be effective. It should raise questions. Frauds in science seem to be hard to prove until its too late for investors. It tends to be more complicated than putting soap in a sponge and the intent of management can be difficult to measure….except by its results over a period of time.

But can it core A apple?
