Did you know?

Veterans Day, celebrated each year on November 11th, coincides with other international holidays also meant to honor military veterans and those who still serve in the military protecting our countries.

The other holidays are Armistice Day, celebrated in Belgium, France, New Zealand, Serbia, the UK and other countries, and Remembrance Day, highlighted in the UK and other nations by red poppies.

We are honored to work with veterans daily, both on our own Synavax™ team, and those on military bases around the country. We honor our veterans with some important facts about this special holiday.





Veterans Day History
Veterans Day Marks the Anniversary of the End of WWI
The roots of Veterans Day go back to the first anniversary of the end of World War I, on Nov. 11, 1919, known as Armistice Day.

In 1926, the U.S. Congress passed a resolution honoring U.S. Veterans and it become a national holiday a little over a decade later.

Sometimes large institutions adopt new technology more slowly than smaller ones, but that’s not the case with the U.S. military.

We remember working with Portsmouth Naval Shipyard just a year after our coatings came on the market, over a decade ago, to insulate and protect metal dock buildings. Since then we’ve been honored to work on multiple military projects around the country.
