This might be the reason for recent buying, seems to me Visualmed is still alive and kicking. Now they try to gain a foothold in artificial intelligence systems in healthcare:

The Quebec government has just provided 93 million dollars to one of the world's leading research fellows in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Part of the mandate for this research will be to impact the way Healthcare is managed as well as the practice of Medicine.
This is a step towards the automation of Medicine. The academics have a mandate to work with the private sector. I will be meeting with this group in order to explore how we can participate in this ground breaking initiative.

Maybe the first results are coming through.
