Wash trade manipulation past 2 days. A major shareholder can buy and sell large blocks to give the false appearance of high interest in the stock that isn't moving as planned. Thousands of dollars are swapped back and forth and the only real costs are the transaction fees. Yeah! It's illegal.

The first clue is that there are large blocks traded without any news.
Note despite the heavy volume of large blocks up and down, there is no price per share change.
Barchart, however, will go from a 35% Sell Signal to a 90% Buy Signal.

Definition:
A wash trade (not to be confused with a wash sale) is a form of market manipulation in which an investor simultaneously sells and buys the same financial instruments to create misleading, artificial activity in the marketplace. Simultaneous does not necessarily mean the same minute or hour. It can be over the span of a few days.
