Look at the dates. They imported the 2.5kW in 2015. That was the "prototype" for testing with ATA Engineering which they announced January 5, 2016:

The most recent import from Qiangsheng Magnets was the six 1.5kW units.

Along with it only being a 1.5kW unit, they also ordered the cheap model and not the better 300RPM model. The WindCutter specs state it is a 175RPM turbine. This will make a difference in the high winds of Fogo Island. It will require a lot of braking there and their modified disc brakes are not going to perform well in those conditions where icing will be a problem. I have a lot of experience with wind turbines and it is much more likely than not that this installation will be a catastrophe. It should perform okay at the raceway. It just won't be enough power output to be feasible.

I still wonder what is going to happen when Ian Strachan finds out he was lied to about certification since that was the reason for going with the WindCutter:

"NW selected SEI as its partner, for the large part because it was the only wind turbine manufacturer who had the patience and the courage to submit its WindCutter design for U.S. certification approval. When in January, 2017, SEI received this approval, achieving it with flying colors, NW entered into partnership discussions."

Just a blatant lie to claim they received certification approval in January, 2017 when anybody can verify they haven't even applied and CAN'T apply since they are not the manufacturer.

Seriously... how do you get past being lied to like that?
