Wow.
So, if I am understanding you correctly, you are faced with a broken system where trust in your political apparatus, (not to mention the individuals running the show), is questionable and according to your President, (whom presents to the rest of the world as egocentric, divisive, and not at all disinclined towards totalitarianism), tells you that you can’t trust the media or anyone whose opinion differs from his.
How do you fix a situation like that short of nuking it and paving it over? If that was Trump’s plan it seems to be working. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the plan has one decidedly major flaw – collateral damage; not just to the individuals adversely affected by the ideological and moral destruction of the society as a whole,(say those of ethnic, cultural, or religious persuasions other than the ruling elite), but to the American psyche en masse.
At one time I envied the socio-economic and political dogma and rhetoric that the United States of America espoused; now it appears to be nothing more than a chimera. I don’t envy you your situation DDF.
