Second, although I suppose that you will be able to locate exceptions to what I am about to say, if you examine ATMs which are not located at banks, or set up as remote standalone, fully secured drive-by ATMs (presumably also on bank property), the ATMs you see these days inside convenience stores, gas stations and other non-bank locations are typically non-bank ATMs. They are operated by companies that are not banks, and as such have fairly generic logos, and definitely not bank logos on the ATMs machines. Those ATMS are lightweight, plugged into a wall socket, and rather than dispense cash, often require one to obtain actual cash from the cashier of the establishment in which the ATM is located.
On the other hand, bank ATMs are huge, heavy, built like tanks, and there is no exposure of their power cords. They are intended to perform like small bank vaults to protect against theft of the cash inside.
As I said, you may find some exceptions to this generality, but in general, that is the difference between bank ATMs and non-bank ATMs.
