I don't know, but this is ICO season. You might even say ICO mania. There are so many new coins launching right now and exploding in value. Do all of them do this? No, just the ones with a solid team, good whitepaper and a unique technology offering that can impact the world. There is an ICO feeding frenzy especially if there is a revenue opportunity for holders of those coins. Some coins pay investors "staking" fees for holding them in a wallet and not spending. Others pay coin holders back a percentage of profits from the business. Some have masternode programs, i.e., for a minimum coin/token buy (usually of at least 10,000 coins) and you are willing to keep them on a secure server you get paid dividends for hosting one of the nodes of the coin.
