yes you are wrong (and i mean it in a funny friendly way :)

the interim analysis is not known by treating physicians , it is only a small sub committee overseeing trial everyone else will remain blinded. If significant benefit or harm is noted then trial might be stopped early (most of time trials go to completion) if a trend shows but level of significance is not extreme then committee just says interim analysis reveals no safety issues and ok to continue with trial.
