Yes, often a rights offering is used as a poison pill. I don't think APRI has done that, they have only filed for a mixed shelf offering putting the paperwork in place for them to issue either debt or equity on relatively short notice if the need arises.

If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
